UFO Sightings
UFO Sightings, especially in the last year, have spiked. Some have suggested that 2010 has been what is known as a 'Flap' in the UFO Community, and it would certainly seem that the number of sightings in China would indicate this.
So what sort of UFO Sightings have we had in the Past?
Chariots of Fire
Many people hypothesize that a lot of references to gods, and chariots of fire, were actually references to extraterrestrials, visiting Earth in its early history. Examples of these supposed 'mis-identifications' can be found in every culture, and every major religious text. However, it's up to the individual to decide.
Aurora TX
Known as the Roswell of the 19th Century, a supposed Space Craft crashed, and a space man was buried near Aurora Texas. Recent attempts at excavation have been mixed, and the true story about Aurora is lost to time at this point, however local newspapers do prove that something did fall out of the sky, and crash into the water-tower in Aurora.
Throughout World War II, Allied Pilots reported 'foo fighters', which were strange, unexplained balls of light in the sky. Allied Command investigated them, and considered that they might even be an Axis super-weapon. However, when little conclusive evidence was found, and when none of the reports presented a threat to the mission, the study of these strange lights was abandoned.
Roswell
Possibly the most famous sighting in American History, and World History, the supposed Crash in Roswell was a cultural phenomenon. Not only did local residents report the recovery of a flying disk and several bodies, but the first initial report by the Army was that they had recovered a flying disk.
Sightings Skyrocket
As time goes by, and technology increases, new sightings have increased by a geometric rate. And now, for once, we are coming to a point of massive connectivity, where even a single individual can upload their experiences instantly on the internet.
This allows for us to examine sightings in real time. Should you do something, do anything you can to document it, then put it online, as quickly as you can.

MPChris Hub Author 14 months ago
I never claimed that this hub would be about 'ground-breaking' UFO sightings. I'm simply providing a little bit of background on the issue.
In fact, I think most folks don't know about the Aurora Incident, or how wide-spread Foo Fighter sightings were. Each of those could be an in-depth hub or blog post.
